Monday (01/12):
Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees (7:00 PM, PMN4): The January 12, 2026, Board of Trustees Work Session and Board Meeting is canceled due to a lack of quorum.
Comstock Township Parks and Recreation (6:00 PM, PMN3): The Parks and Recreation Commission will discuss Recreation Programs for 2026, clarify job duties for two Parks and Rec. positions – Seasonal Park Attendant and Park Manager, and highlight Peer Park as the Park of the Month.
Tuesday (01/13):
Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (3:00 PM, PMN2): County Road Commissioners will hear a presentation from County Engineer Ryan Minkus on “The Weight of Seasons: Keeping Michigan Roads Alive” as well as discuss and vote on the approval of a Wheel Loader Purchase.
Oshtemo Township Board of Trustees (5:30 PM, PMN3): Oshtemo’s Board meeting will begin with a work session to discuss updates the Fire Department Strategic Plan and hold an ordinance discussion on Battery Energy Storage Systems. Then, the board will discuss budget amendments as well as enter a closed session regarding the purchase of real estate. The full January 13th agenda can be found here.
City of Kalamazoo Citizens’ Public Safety Review and Appeals Board (6:00 PM, PMN4): The Citizens Public Safety Review and Appeal Board (CPSRAB) provides community oversight of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. CPSRAB hears community complaints that are appealed after they have been investigated by the Office of Professional Standards. The Board also serves in an advisory role to improve public safety service and policies, and works to build community trust, credibility and confidence.
Wednesday (01/14):
Comstock Township Board Special Meeting (5:30 PM, PMN3): The Comstock Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Wednesday, January 14, at 5:30 PM to review a FOIA appeal and to hear an ethics presentation by the Township attorney.
City of Kalamazoo Historic Preservation Commission (6:00 PM, PMN4): The Historic Preservation Commission will discuss funding for a condition assessment of the historic Kalamazoo State Hospital Water Tower, after noticeable damage to the tower’s exterior was exacerbated when two terra cotta tiles fell off of the tower.
