It’s almost August already! July has been eventful for our local boards and commissions, but we’ll wrap up the month with only a handful of meetings on this week’s schedule. Let’s take a closer look:
Monday (07/27)
Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees (7:00 PM, PMN4): The Kalamazoo Township Board will meet to hold a Public Hearing on potential removal recommendation of a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Then, the Board will continue discussion and vote on Moratoriums for Battery Energy Storage Systems and Data Centers.
Tuesday (07/28)
Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (3:00 PM, PMN2): The Road Commission will meet on Tuesday the 28th and vote on the approval of a few local road contracts and orders, including approval of the Traffic Control Orders #1718-1720 in Comstock Township, which reflect the recent Comstock Board approval of speed reduction measures on Casper Street.
Oshtemo Township Zoning Board of Appeals (3:00 PM, PMN3): The July 28th Oshtemo Township Zoning Board of Appeals meeting has ben cancelled.
Oshtemo Township Board of Trustees (5:30 PM, PMN3): The Oshtemo Township Board will continue discussion around a replacement Fire Department Vehicle, which has fueled discussion around reliability with Electric Vehicles in emergency services. The Board will also begin discussion on a proposal for a Monopole Cellular Tower, and provide a first reading of a Moratorium Ordinance for Solar Energy Development.
Comstock Township Zoning Board of Appeals (4:00 PM, PMN2): The July 28th Comstock Township Zoning Board of Appeals meeting is cancelled due to a lack of agenda items.
