As we enter another week of local meetings, take a look at what’s on the agenda:
Monday (09/22):
Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees (7:30 PM, PMN4): Kalamazoo Township’s Board meets Monday to discuss Board Vacancy and present a First Reading of Ordinance 642.
Tuesday (09/23)
Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (3:00 PM, PMN2): The Board of County Road Commissioners will vote to approve the revised Cooper Township Local Road Contract.
Oshtemo Township Zoning Board of Appeals (3:00 PM, PMN3): Oshtemo’s Zoning Board will conduct site plan review of a proposed 4,129 square foot building addition at 5991 Venture Park Drive, as well as consider a parcel area variance request where the resulting parcel will not satisfy the minimum area requirement at 5418 West G Avenue.
Comstock Township Zoning Board of Appeals (4:00 PM, PMN2): When available, the September 23, 2025 Comstock Zoning Board of Appeals meeting agenda can be found here.
City of Kalamazoo Natural Features Protection Review Board (4:00 PM, PMN4): The Natural Features Protection Review Board will look through a proposed site plan for a new 7-Eleven construction at 3050 Oakland Dr.
Oshtemo Township Board of Trustees (5:30 PM, PMN3): Oshtemo’s Board meeting will begin with a special meeting of the Oshtemo Planning Commission, requesting distribution of the Drafted 2045 Comprehensive Master Plan. Then, regular business includes addition of property to Police Protection Special Assessment District, consideration of a tax rate request, and a potential closed session for written opinion of legal consult.
Wednesday (09/24)
Comstock Township Downtown Development Authority : This week’s Comstock Township DDA meeting has been moved to October 8th, 2025.
Thursday (09/25)
Oshtemo Township Planning Commission (6:00 PM, PMN3): When available, Oshtemo Township Planning Commission meeting materials can be found here.
Comstock Township Planning Commission (3:30 PM, 6:00 PM, PMN2): Comstock’s Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 to participate in a Housing Study Workshop with Emily Petz of The Upjohn Institute. Then at 6:00, for regular business, the Planning Commission will return to the Accessory Structure Ordinance and Chicken Ordinance, as well as begin discussion on Soil Friends’ Conditions and potentially hold closed session. The Commission will also set the table to review revisions to the BESS Ordinance from 09.18.2025.
