Gavel to Gavel: Upcoming Local Government Meetings and Stand-out Agenda Items – November 11 – 15, 2024

As we enter another week of local government meetings, take a look at what’s on the agenda.

Monday (11/11):

Galesburg City Council (7:00 PM, PMN2): The Galesburg City Council will hold discussion on the DPW Barn, Article IX Prohibition of Marijuana Establishments, Public Media Network, and more; as well as reports, meeting minutes, and potential approvals of business items.

Tuesday (11/12):

City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The Committee of the Whole will hold a work session on the Proposed Water Utility Rates in Kalamazoo for 2025.

City of Kalamazoo City Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): The City Commission will tackle an array of contract extensions.

Oshtemo Township Board of Trustees (5:30 PM, PMN3): The Oshtemo Board will hold public hearings for Police Protection, Fire & Safety Protection, Road Maintenance, and General Fund. A full list of agenda items is available here.

Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees (7:30 PM, PMN2): The Kalamazoo Township Board will discuss potential approvals of spending and other business items.

Wednesday (11/13):

City of Kalamazoo Historic Preservation Commission (6:00 PM PMN4): The Historic Preservation Commission is set to hear reports on current projects and funds like the Ransom Street Project and the O’Connor Fund.

Thursday (11/14):

City of Kalamazoo Utility Policy Committee (8:30 AM, PMN4): Agenda for this meeting will be made available here.

City of Kalamazoo Zoning Board of Appeals (7:00 PM, PMN4): Cancelled due to a lack of Agenda Items.

Charter Township of Comstock Planning Commission (7:00 PM, PMN2): The Comstock Planning Commission will meet to discuss Rezoning Applications and Site Plan review of projects on Jennings Dr., N 26th St., and E Main St.

Oshtemo Township Planning Commission (7:00 PM, PMN3): The Oshtemo Planning Commission will deliberate on Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments regarding warehouses, fulfillment centers, and other various ordinance specifications.
