In the June 23 Oshtemo Township Board Meeting, the board held a closed session to discuss pending litigation before reconvening for public comment. From the Oshtemo Fire Department, Chief Greg McComb provided an update on the status of squad reviews and the handling of 300 calls so far this year, including three fatal fire incidents. On a more positive note, Kalamazoo County has the highest cardiac arrest survival rate in Michigan, with Oshtemo leading the county and ranking second in the nation. The board also invited community members to a “breakfast for dinner” community-building event at Fire Station One on Thursday, August 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Watch the full meeting here for more!
