Comstock Township’s Downtown Development Authority board voted to dissolve itself this week, contingent on legal confirmation and the resolution of related contract obligations.
Board members made and seconded a motion to dissolve the DDA on that condition, then spent an extended stretch of discussion on the question, including concerns from several members about acting without a township attorney present. In a roll call vote, the board approved the motion 6-2, with one member absent. Members said dissolution would not take effect until it receives legal confirmation and the authority’s outstanding contracts are formally resolved.
