Monday (08/17)
City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The City Committee of the Whole will hear an update on the All Things Diverse Organizational Assessment.
Kalamazoo City Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): Kalamazoo’s City Commission will work through a long agenda of consent agenda and regular agenda items, including a contract agreement with MDOT for preliminary engineering activities in support of improvements to stormwater management throughout the Arcadia Creek corridor as well as adopting a moratorium on the acceptance and/or processing of applications for Data Centers, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Cryptocurrency Mining Centers, and Artificial Intelligence Data Centers. Comstock Township Board of Trustees (6:00 PM, PMN3): The August 17, 2026 Comstock Township Board of Trustees Meeting has been canceled due to lack of quorum.
Tuesday (08/18)
Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole (4:00 PM, PMN3): The Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole will hear presentations on the proposed Brownfield Plan for the West Main Villages Development Project and the expanded impact of Kalamazoo Conservation District.
Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners (6:30 PM, PMN3): The County Board of Commissioners will hear a presentation on framework for Post-Election Implementation of the Child Care Millage, and then will vote on the approval of new positions within the Maternal Child Health Division. City of Kalamazoo Historic District Commission (5:00 PM, PMN4): August 18’s Historic District Commission meeting will include application reviews for alterations at 510 Minor (Replacement of 4 windows) and 901 Walwood (Demolition of Attached Garage).

City of Kalamazoo Environmental Concerns Committee (4:30 PM, PMN4): Discussions at the August 19, 2026 Environmental Concerns Committee meeting will include stadium lights at Western Michigan University’s soccer field, green zoning, urban deer complaints, textile recycling, data center moratoriums, and more.
