If you needed to get a message out to your community, where would you go? If you wanted to make a change, how would you convince people to make that change? If you needed to be heard, who would you go to?
Matt Halloran cares deeply about bringing people together through media. It helps them share stories, learn new skills, and get involved in making our community stronger.
“As a former Board member, I can honestly say that I love the mission of Public Media Network.
I believe citizens should have a voice that’s not controlled by huge corporations. I believe it’s immensely vital that the arts are actively promoted and amplified. I also believe in free speech and the power of storytelling to catalyze individual and organizational change.
The decentralization of media and news has done so much damage to our country, and I am committed to helping in any way I can to ensure that local voices continue to be heard. I invest in the mission to support local coverage of the many great things that are happening in the Greater Kalamazoo area.
If not for Public Media Network, people would not have a dedicated platform to express themselves other than contributing to the noise on social media, hoping they eventually get heard. We need to preserve this gem in our community to help educate our fellow citizens on creating and uplifting meaningful media, which is why I give and will only continue to support Public Media Network.”
