Gavel to Gavel: A Look at Local Government Meetings and Key Agenda Items – July 14 – 16

As we enter another week of government meetings, let’s take a quick look at what’s on the agenda.

Monday (07/14):

Comstock Township Parks and Recreation Commission (6:00 PM, PMN3): The Comstock Parks and Recreation Commission will continue business on Robert Morris Park ADA upgrades, McLinden Trail updates, development at Neal St. Park, and more.

Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees (7:30 PM, PMN4): The July 14th Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees Meeting has been canceled.

Tuesday (07/15):

Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (3:00 PM, PMN2): The RCKC will request approval for purchase of a Power Broom Attachment and present committee and expense reports.

Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The County Committee of the Whole will see a presentation from Maple Hill Leaseholds LLC about a Brownfield development plan, as well as monthly Finance and Investment Reports from the Finance Director and Chief Deputy Treasurer respectively.

Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners (6:00 PM, PMN4): The Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners will address several consent agenda items, including contract extensions, budget adjustments, appointing a new Deputy Medical Examiner, and more.

City of Kalamazoo Historic District Commission (6:00 PM, PMN3): The Historic District Commission will have four applications to review, including an installation of a sign at 215 E Michigan, an installation of a freestanding sign at 402 E Michigan, the addition of solar panels to existing array at 1552 Academy, and replacement of a 3rd story window at 422 Stuart.

Wednesday (07/16):

City of Kalamazoo Environmental Concerns Committee (4:30 PM, PMN4): The July 16th City of Kalamazoo Environmental Concerns Committee Meeting has been canceled.
