As we enter another week of government meetings, let’s take a quick look at what’s on the agenda.
Monday (08/04):
City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The Committee of the Whole meeting will include a presentation for the 2025-2028 Communications Plan for the City of Kalamazoo. The plan hopes to align with the Imagine Kalamazoo 2035 master plan.
Kalamazoo City Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): In addition to various contract extensions and signings, the Kalamazoo City Commission will look to finish creation of the Kalamazoo County Event Center Assessment District Authority.
Wednesday (08/06):
Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole (4:00 PM, PMN4): During the County Committee of the Whole meeting, there will be presentations on the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and 2025 Housing Millage Allocations. Then, a discussion on Reallocation of ARPA and Housing Millage Funds.
Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners (6:30 PM, PMN4): The County Board of Commissioners will discuss and vote on several funding allocations, contracts, budget adjustments, and more.
City of Kalamazoo Civil Rights Board (5:00 PM, PMN3): The City of Kalamazoo Civil Rights Board will meet Wednesday to address updates to Ordinances Edits, Appointees to Subcommittees, and discussion on meeting monthly.
Thursday (08/07):
City of Kalamazoo Planning Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): The Thursday, August 8th regular meeting of the City of Kalamazoo Planning Commission has been canceled.
Kalamazoo Public Schools Board of Education (7:00 PM, PMN5): UPDATE: A regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Kalamazoo Public Schools will be held on Thursday, August 07, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the KPS Administration Building.
Comstock Moratorium Committee (4:00 PM, PMN3): UPDATE: The Comstock Township Moratorium Committee will meet Thursday, August 07, 2025 at 4:00 PM.
