As we enter another busy week of government meetings, let’s take a look at what’s on the agenda for our local boards and commissions!
Monday (03/10):
Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees Work Session (6:00 PM, PMN4): Monday’s work session will include an overview of the Strategic Plan calendar, Resolution of Intent for 2026 budget assessments (including Public Safety spending and infrastructure, Street Lighting assessment, and more), and consideration for spending on improvements for broadcasts here on Public Media Network.
Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees (7:00 PM, PMN4): The Kalamazoo Township Board meeting will include authorizing spending on bills, finalizations of contracts, and a presentation on Kalamazoo County’s Veteran Honor Rewards Program.
Comstock Parks and Recreation (6:00 PM, PMN3): Comstock’s Parks and Recreation Commission will include a Monthly Park Discussion on McLinden Trail, consideration of ADA upgrades at Robert Morris Park, a Fleetwood Playground Build, and more.
Tuesday (03/11):
Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (3:00 PM, PMN2): When available, RCKC Meeting Agendas can be found here.
Oshtemo Township Board (5:30 PM, PMN3): The Oshtemo Board will hear an update from Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, give a presentation and report on a recent Compensation Study, and more.
City of Kalamazoo Citizens Public Safety Review and Appeals Board (6:00 PM, PMN4): The Citizens Public Safety Review and Appeal Board (CPSRAB) provides community oversight of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. CPSRAB hears community complaints that are appealed after they have been investigated by the Office of Professional Standards. Learn more at their website.
Wednesday (03/12):
City of Kalamazoo Historic Preservation Commission (6:00 PM, PMN4): Kalamazoo’s Historic Preservation Commission will present funding reports, local district reports, community engagement reports, and more in their Wednesday meeting.
Thursday (03/13):
City of Kalamazoo Utility Policy Committee (8:30 AM, PMN4): When available, Kalamazoo UPC Meeting Agendas can be found here.
Oshtemo Township Planning Commission (6:00 PM, PMN3): Thursday’s Oshtemo Planning Commission Meeting will include Zoning Text Amendments for accessory dwelling units, accessory buildings, parking, access management, and private streets.
Comstock Township Planning Commission (6:00 PM, PMN2): Comstock’s Planning Commission will hold a Special Land Use Review & Public Hearing for a site at 5802 Gull Rd.
City of Kalamazoo Zoning Board of Appeals (7:00 PM, PMN4): The Zoning Board of Appeals will re-open a hearing on a request from Interstate Capital Development, LLC for a dimensional variance, as well as review a request from CESCO, Inc. for a dimensional variance in development of a 7-Eleven store.
