Gavel to Gavel: Upcoming Local Government Meetings and Key Agenda Items – March 3 – 6

As we enter another week of government meetings, let’s take a look at what’s on the agenda in our local boards and commissions.

Monday (03/03):

City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The Kalamazoo City Commission Committee of the Whole will hold a presentation for a Streets For All update.

City of Kalamazoo City Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): The City Commission is scheduled to review several contracts and extensions with contractors and provide Notices of Intent for Wastewater, Capital Improvement, and Water Supply System Revenue Bonds. Read more here.

Comstock Township Board (6:00 PM, PMN3): The Comstock Township Board has been busy in recent months, and this week continues their work; including Board Member business and discussion on adding Invocation to meetings, an update on PFAS Water Testing, local road contract, and more.

Tuesday (03/04):

Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The Committee of the Whole will conduct interviews for the Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority, discuss Retirement Pensions, Millages, and strategic impacts of potential Federal Funds gaps. Read the full COTW agenda here.

Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners (7:00 PM, PMN4): The County Board of Commissioners is set to discuss a long list of agenda items, including potential committee, board, and authority appointments, professional contract adjustments and approvals, and more.

Thursday (03/06):

City of Kalamazoo Planning Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): Kalamazoo’s Planning Commission is scheduled to meet Thursday to review recommended candidates to fill vacant Planning Commissioner positions.
