Monday (05/18)
City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The Committee of the Whole will utilize their meeting on May 18th to hold a special closed session, discussing pending litigation and an attorney-client privileged communication.
Kalamazoo City Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): City Commissioners will meet Monday night to vote on several consent agenda items, contract extensions, amendments to the Marihuana Social Equity Policy, and to hold a public hearing on a resolution establishing the Zone 32 Neighborhood Enterprise Zone district in the Northside Neighborhood.
Comstock Township Board of Trustees (6:00 PM, PMN3): Comstock’s Board will continue discussion on the Planning Commission Letter, Early Warning Sirens, and more. The agenda lists a closed session in the later items of the meeting. The Board of Trustees’ full agenda is available by clicking here.
Tuesday (05/19)
Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (3:00 PM, PMN2): The Board of Road Commissioners will hear a Safe Streets for All Project Update Presentation from the Assistant County Engineer, and will also vote on a Preliminary Plan Approval for a Prairie Glenn Site Condominium.
Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole (4:00 PM, PMN3): The Committee of the Whole will provide first readings for amendments to the the Lake Level Orders, establish Normal Lake Levels for Austin Lake, Long Lake, and West Lake as well as a resolution on establishing an ARPA Expenditure Deadline for Awardees.
Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners (6:30 PM, PMN3): Following the Committee of the Whole meeting, the Board of Commissioners is set to vote on the previously mentioned first readings, as well as vote on the approval of funding allocation to Integrated Services of Kalamazoo for Staffing and Operations of a Medical Respite Shelter Facility for 2026 and 2027 in the amount of $464,746. Oshtemo Township Special Meeting (5:30 PM, PMN2): The Oshtemo Township Board will meet to vote on the adoption of the Oshtemo 2045 Comprehensive Plan & Master Streets Plan, and consider applying for a US Federal Department of Transportation Grant Opportunity.
City of Kalamazoo Historic District Commission (6:00 PM, PMN4): Kalamazoo’s Historic District Commission will review a Commissioner Application, as well as applications for alterations on two properties in the Historic District, 703 S Park and 830 W Vine.
Wednesday (05/20)
Kalamazoo Public Schools Board of Education (7:00 PM, PMN5): Instead of their normal Thursday schedule, the KPS Board of Education will meet Wednesday, May 20th and 7:00 PM. When available, meeting materials can be found here.
City of Kalamazoo Environmental Concerns Committee (4:30 PM, PMN4): The Environmental Concerns Committee will provide reports on air and water quality, wildlife and natural resource protection, planning and natural features protection, and more. They also will continue work on subcommittee restructuring and vote on recommendations to the City Commission, including ECC involvement with Asylum Lake Transfer.
