Monday (7/6)

Comstock Township Board of Trustees (6:00 PM, PMN3): The Comstock Board will meet Monday to discuss Homeless Committee Updates, hear a proposal from Treasurer Bloomfield seeking to establish full-time compensation for the Deputy Treasurer position at $40,000 annually, and then the board will hold a closed session to discuss a personnel evaluation requested by Ordinance Enforcement Officer Dakota Szczepanski.

City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole (5:00 PM, PMN4): The City of Kalamazoo Committee of the Whole meeting on July 6, 2026 has been canceled.

Kalamazoo City Commission (7:00 PM, PMN4): The City Commission’s regular agenda will focus on a vote to approve a contract with Fer-Pal Construction for the 2026 pipe lining project ($2,792,847) and a vote on adoption of an ordinance authorizing Water Supply System Revenue Bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000.

Tuesday (7/7)

Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole (4:00 PM, PMN4): The Kalamazoo County Committee of the Whole work session will provide several first readings, including implementation of a Gun Violence Prevention and Intervention Field of Interest Fund and a request for a resolution in support of an additional Ninth Circuit Court Judge and Eighth District Court Judge.

Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners (6:30 PM, PMN4): The County Board will vote on the approval of funding allocation for Summer 2026 Gun Violence Prevention and Intervention Programming, seeking to address Gun Violence proactively in Kalamazoo County.

Oshtemo Township Planning Commission (6:00 PM, PMN3): The Oshtemo Township Planning Commission meeting on July 9, 2026 has been canceled.

Comstock Township Planning Commission (6:00 PM, PMN2): Comstock Township Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing and discussion on proposed 3,200 sq ft accessory structure at 5441 E. ML Avenue, a Public Hearing and discussion of a proposed Wireless Communications Facility at 67 Van Bruggen, and hold a discussion on Code Enforcement in the Township.

City of Kalamazoo Zoning Board of Appeals (7:00 PM, PMN4): The City Zoning Board will hold public hearings for Statewide Rentals’ requests for Natural Features Protection variances at 132, 114, and 112 W Cork St. This comes after the NFP Board recommended approval, moving the proposals along to the Zoning Board. Other Public Hearings at this meeting include a dimensional variance at 151 S.Rose Street for four wall signs that exceed the maximum size permitted and another sign-focused dimensional variance request at 1617 N. Drake Road, where the Youth Sports Complex development seeks to have several signs over the permitted size.
